While the members of Spinal Tap are currently embroiled in a massive $400 million royalties lawsuit, it appears the fictional rock band still have time for other endeavours. Specifically, it looks like Derek Smalls (played by Harry Shearer) is working on a solo album.

The news arrives via Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Will Ferrell Chad Smith, who shared an image from the recording session on Twitter.

In the pic, available below, he revealed that he was hanging out with Dave Grohl and legendary studio drummer Jim Geltner to work on Smalls' new solo album.
